Goa, Margao: Writer and Konkani activist Anwesha Singbal's collections of poems 'Aasor' and 'Chanfo' will be launched on 2nd April. The ceremony will be held at the Conference Hall of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao at 5 pm. The ceremony will be presided over by author and Konkani activist Chetan Acharya. Senior writer Melvyn Rodrigues will be the chief guest for the function. Writer and folk artist Gopinath Gawas will be the guest of honour.

The book is published by Sanjana Publications. The ceremony will be compared by young writer and teacher Brijesh Shet Desai.

These are the third and fourth collections of poems by Anwesha Singbal. She started writing at the age of 12 years. 

Her first collection of poems, ‘Sulus’, was published in 2011 while her collection of poems, ‘Padsad’, was published in 2016 and ‘Dant’, a children’s story book, was published in 2017.

She is the 2020-2023 President of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa, the first non-governmental organization working for Konkani. 

She has been awarded the 2016 Central Sahitya Academy, New Delhi Yuva Sahitya Puraskar.

Dinesh Manerkar of Sanjana Publications and author Anwesha Singbal have urged all literature lovers to attend the launch in large numbers.
