Udupi : COVID-19 positive cases are on the rise in the district. There should need to planning and implementing the project without any shortcomings and lack of facilities to treat the infected, said M. Maheshwar Rao, District Secretary in-in charge.
He was speaking after presiding over a review meeting on the latest situation of district Covid 19 held at District Panchayat Hall on Thursday, July 30.
He informed the officials that the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing, the District is responsible for ensuring the availability of large number of beds in the hospital for the infected, planning for adequate management of cases and ensuring that all the necessary facilities are available for the treatment of the infected and the lack of beds.
M Maheshwara Rao said that in the district, there is a high incidence of ILI and SARI cases, should find out the reasons behind increasing the ILI and M. Maheshwara Rao said, "In the medical shops, the details of the drug recipients, get their health information, and instruct the private hospitals not to force the Covid test when other patients are admitted to the hospital."
The district has a bed management system and an ambulance tracking system implemented by GPS to track Covid infected people to the hospital.
"There is no shortage of funds in the Natural Disaster Fund, and in most cases, the necessary medical equipment and other arrangements will be made for the treatment of the sick," said District Collector G. Jagadeesh.
Reviewing the agricultural activity in the district, Maheshwar Rao suggested that the division should be cautious about the lack of seed and fertilizer and pesticides.
There are complaints of illegal sand mining, GPS violation, trip violation, violation of rules, and GPS for sand transporting vehicles at checkpoints. The secretary Rao instructed the police department to review the installation and monitor during the night.
Dr. Prashant Bhat, Covid-19 District Nodal Officer informed about the current status of Covid in the district.
