Mangaluru: The Department of Languages (English) under the Quality Enhancement Initiative of IQAC, organized a virtual Student Capacity Building Program- (SCBP-10), titled ‘Writing a Good Answer- Structure and Presentation’ on June 14, 2021 from 2:00- 3:00 PM for the I,II-, & III-year students of B. Com, B.Sc. HS, B.Sc. FND, B.Sc. IDD
The resource person was Dr Charles V Furtado, Vice Principal & Associate Professor of English, St Aloysius Evening College, Mangalore. Addressing the students his focus was how to write a good answer for the examination, the pattern to be followed and not to deviate from the topic. He asked the students to make an impression through their writing skills which needs to have a beginning, middle and conclusion. The necessity of using a good vocabulary and practical hints to come up with a good answer was highlighted.
IQAC coordinator, Denzil D Costa, took initiative in conducting the session conducted through Google Meet platform and You Tube Live. Around 145students participated in this skill enriching session. The involvement of the participants could be measured when they raised thought provoking inquisitive queries which were replied with equal clarification. The students were issued E-certificates.
Principal Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor, welcomed the participants. Prof Lourdusamy, Coordinator of the session expressed words of gratitude and Nayana K, HOD of Languages, introduced the resource person and compeered the program.
