Ramanagara: In the meeting held under the guidance of MLA and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar, the entire Kanakapur taluk will be self-locked down by the end of the month due to increasing coronavirus infection in Kanakapura.

The decision was announced by the owners of the Kanakapura shopping centers, various shops and various guilds in the presence of MLA and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar and MP DK Suresh at a meeting organized by the municipality in Kanakapura on Sunday.

D.K. Shivakumar speaking at the meeting, he said, "People should be self-quarantine in the constituency till the 1st of next month. Bar, wine shop, medical, chicken, mutton shops, groceries in the city are given permission to keep open from 7am to 11pm. But other than these shops will remain closed."

"Mask and sanitizer must be mandatory in all stores that are open to the public. Provide quality food to those who have quarantine in the district and also Rs. 60 per person from the government adding to it we are offering Rs 100 from our DKS Charitable Trust. So the total amount of Rs. 160 will given to people who are in quarantine so provide good quality of food for Rs. 160"

"Bedsheets will also be provided to those in Quarantine if needed. Alcohol will also be available at the scheduled time. But the social gap should be maintained and sensitization should be done regualry" , he said.

DK Sivakumar, who has advised the government office, government bus service and health services to continue regularly, said that the SSLC exam which will be conducted on JUne 24th should not get disturbed. DK Shivakumar has made it clear that the lockdown and the government has nothing to do with it. There should be no confusion. He appealed that all should cooperate.
