Puttur : A one-day National level Kannada language Conference on Science & Technologies in Aerospace and Defence Sectors was held on 15th July 2022 at CSIR-NAL Bangalore on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Kannada Samskruthika Sangha of CSIR-NAL.
Padma Dr R. Prahlad, Pro-Chancellor & Director, Centre for Energy Research, Former Chief Controller & Distinguished scientist, DRDO and Kannada Prof. Krishne Gowda of Mysore University were the chief guests of the inaugural function. The book “Special Technologies & Products Developed by CSIR-NAL” was released by Padma Dr R. Prahlad and the Golden Jubilee Souvenir of Kannada Samskruthika Sangha of CSIR-NAL was released by Prof. Krishne Gowda. The inauguration programme also included Felicitations to achievers in various fields Presided over by the Director, CSIR-NAL & Chief Patron, Kannada Samskruthika Sangha.
The conference session consisted of 55 paper presentations on various topics like Aerodynamics, Propulsion Technology, Aerospace electronics, Material science and technologies etc. Pawan Nayak N and Rachana NR of St. Philomena College's PG Department of Physics presented papers on Thin Film Technology under Material Science and Technology. Rachana NR was awarded with the best paper presentation award in the Material Science and Technology section.
