NEW DELHI, Sept 2: The government has banned 118 Chinese-based apps including the popular PUBG, in the wake of the Chinese army's retaliation in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

India, which has repeatedly stepped up its efforts to infiltrate the conflict-bound China region, had initially banned 59 Chinese-made apps, including the popular Tik Tok.

Now Government of India also canceled several agreements with China. This, in turn, has hurt China indirectly.

According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, this mobile game is banned under Section 69 of the Information Technology Act. The ministry said it had taken this decision as it was engaging in activities that would hurt India's sovereignty and unity.

According to the report, there are at least 33 million Pub G players in India. The decision was taken by India's cyber space in order to emphasize the safety and security the Center said.
