Mangalore: Not the subject of our choice, but our expertise, skills are important for employment. Opportunities will open doors only if there are capabilities, said Mangalore University S.V.P Institute of Kannada Studies Assistant Professor Prof. Dhananjaya Kumble said. 

He spoke after inaugurating a career guidance program organized for students under the joint auspices of IQAC, Kannada Sangha and Kannada Departments of University College Mangalore, at Ravindra Kalabhavana, on Thursday.

Resource person for the day, Kasaragod Periya Central University Assistant Professor Dr Praveen Padyana opined that every language has its own history and dignity including optional Kannada, he said. He informed about various opportunities in the field of education and employment after graduation

Presiding over the event, Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai, wished all the best to the students and organisers. Kannada department Head Dr. Madhava M.K welcomed and program coordinator Madhu Biradar extended vote of thanks. Vidhishree mastered the ceremony.
