Mangaluru: The 59th anniversary of the St Christopher Driver and Owners’ Association was celebrated on August 3, 2025, with great reverence and enthusiasm in Mangaluru.

The event began with a prayer session, setting a spiritual tone for the day. A formal welcome was then delivered by the association president, Dr. John Edward D'Silva, who warmly greeted all the dignitaries and attendees.

The annual report highlighting the association’s yearly activities was read by Secretary Sunil Peter Lobo, followed by the 2024–2025 Annual Financial Report presented by Vice President John Baptist Gomes.

To encourage and honour academic excellence, Pratibha Puraskar awards were given to deserving students. A felicitation programme followed, celebrating the contributions of distinguished individuals.

The chief guest, Judith Crasta, delivered an inspiring talk. This was followed by messages from the spiritual directors and the president of the event, Fr Valerian D’Souza, each highlighting the values of service, unity, and faith.

The election of the new executive committee took place, setting the path for the association’s continued progress.

A warm vote of thanks was given by Gerald D’Souza, expressing gratitude to all who supported and participated in the event.


The programme was gracefully compered by Leena D’Souza, who ensured the smooth flow of the event with elegance and professionalism.

The celebration reflected the commitment, unity, and community spirit of the St Christopher Association as it stepped into its 60th year.
