Mangalore: Inpatient service to be launched soon in Wenlock District Kota Srinivasa Poojary, minister in charge of the district, said. Friday in DK DC office he was speaking after presiding over a meeting on Covid management at the District Office. Other services were discontinued as Wenlock Hospital was considered a fixed hospital for Covid. The District has noticed that the public is disturbed and outpatient services have been started. The Minister said that steps have been taken to launch at least 100 inpatient services.
According to DC Sindhu B. Rupesh, Covid patients can also be admitted to private hospitals. Patients have to bear the hospital's fixed costs. He added that those treated under the ayurvedic plan can be treated in private hospitals with the recommendation of the Health Department.
District Medical Officer Dr Ramachandra Bayari said private medical colleges in the district have already come forward to treat Covid patients and 800 beds will be available for treatment. In addition, some private hospitals are offering Covid treatment. Five patietnts are in serious condition. Wenlock Superintendent Dr. Sadashiva, Umanatha Cotan, Dr. Bharat Shetty, M.J. Roopa, Dr. Jagadeesh were present.
In DK There are currently 142 corona active cases in the district. 370 have been discharged from the hospital. 10 people have died. There are 4 private and 1 government laboratories operating in the district for Covid testing.
