Mangalore: An induction program was held for all the 1st year students of B Com, B Sc. FND and B Sc. HS on June 18, 2019 in the college Auditorium. Cecilia Pereira, Vice-president of Parish Pastoral Council was the Chief guest. Rev. Fr Joseph Lobo, Correspondent, Rev. Fr Michael L Santhumayor, Principal, Laveena Lobo, PTA President, Prof. Lourdusamy, Academic Advisor were present on the dais.
Rev. Fr Michael L Santhumayor welcomed the gathering and introduced students to the rules and regulations of the college. Chief guest Mrs. Cecilia Pereira encouraged students by giving the examples of achievers. Addressing the gathering Rev. Fr Joseph Lobo congratulated students for choosing Milagres college. Citing the example of Albert Einstein, he said that each individual has numerous choices to make. It is the responsibility of every individual to think wise and make the right choice not only for himself but also for the people around. Our life is based on choices. Making right choice will lead us to success.
M Bushair Rehman, for his outstanding achievement in International Karate Championship which was held at Nepal, was felicitated during the inaugural program.
Training programs were conducted by the lecturers on topics such as Know Your College, Association, CC/EC/ Value Education, Social Responsibility/ Outreach/ Library/Sports and Class culture/ Discipline. All the 1st year students and their parents were present for the program.
Cassin Rodrigues, Vice Principle, proposed the vote of thanks. Chethana Acharya compered the program.
