Mangalore: Team Challengers of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangalore is a group of dedicated undergraduate students from various disciplines of engineering who’ve made it their collective goal to explore and triumph the world of Aeronautics and Robotics. With the use of cutting edge technology, we strive to solve problems of social importance.

Aerophilia 2019:

The Team is hosting Sahyadri’s flagship event, Aerophilia 2019 on the 20th and 21st of September. Aerophilia is a two-day national event that has given wings to innovative thinking to budding engineers and innovators in the past and strives to continue to do so.

Why to be a part of Aerophilia:

With events that boost the healthy competitive spirit of our country’s youth, this event is a great way to gain exposure and widen one’s social and professional network. This fest is an opportunity for young school kids to come and marvel at the wonders of science and meet and interact with eminent personalities so as to gain an interest in Science and technology.

What you can expect from this year’s event:

This year we shall be expecting a crowd of about 1,500 people. An air show is being conducted by well-known national flyers. This is on the verge of being South India’s biggest RC air show.

The real attention grabber is the Hackathon that ISRO will be organizing in our college during the event and there will be a wide plethora of participants attending it. This is the first ever Hackathon being conducted by ISRO to find applications for the NAVIC chip (India’s very own navigation system). The students will get to experience first hand, India’s finest technology. The ISRO representatives will be there to provide round the clock guidance for the participants. The Representatives from ISRO will also be giving highly informative technical talks during the course of the event.
