New Delhi: Two of India's most wanted gangsters have been arrested in Georgia, USA, and both will be deported to India soon, it has been learnt.

Indian security agencies have achieved a major success by arresting two of the country's most wanted gangsters operating abroad.

Security agency officials, including those from Haryana Police, arrested Venkatesh Garg in Georgia, while Bhanu Rana was arrested in the US. Bhanu Rana is said to have had links with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Both Garg and Rana will be deported to India soon. The operation to arrest Garg and Rana has revealed crucial information about the modus operandi of the two gangsters.
Currently, more than two dozen major gangsters from India are outside the country, recruiting for their gangs and running criminal syndicates from there.
Who is this Venkatesh Garg?
Garg is a resident of Narayangarh in Haryana and currently lives in Georgia, and has more than 10 criminal cases registered against him in India.
He used to recruit youths from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and other states of North India. He had fled to Georgia after being involved in the killing of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader in Gurugram.
Garg is currently running an extortion syndicate with gangster Kapil Sangwan, who is currently living abroad.
In October, the Delhi Police had arrested four of Sangwan’s shooters, who were involved in the shootings at a builder’s house and farmhouse.
Bhanu Rana, associated with Bishnoi gang
Rana, associated with Bishnoi gang, has been living in the US for some time. Originally from Karnal, Rana has been active in the criminal world for a long time and has several cases registered against him. Rana's criminal network extends to Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.
His name had surfaced during the investigation into the grenade attack in Punjab. In June, the Special Task Force (STF), Karnal, arrested two persons in possession of hand grenades, pistols and ammunition. They were acting on Rana's orders.
