New Delhi: The Central Direct Tax Board has again postponed the filing of income tax returns for 2019-2020 for the fourth time. The last date for filing ITR (Income Tax Returns) was September 30. It has now expanded to November 30th.
This is the fourth time the filing of income tax returns has been postponed. In the wake of the Covid 19 infection, the first date was June 30, and then July 31, September 30, which is now November 30.
Considering that taxpayers are suffering from the Covid 19 infection, the CBDT notification states that the deadline for submission of revised ITRs and current line ITRs for 2019-20 has been extended to November 30.
GST Returns:
The Central Government has also extended the Annual Goods and Services Tax (GST) payment date of 2019 till October 2020, the report said.
The Central Government has said that the final deadline for annual GST payments has been extended after the Election Commission received information on the Code of Conduct.
