Imposition of total lock down by district District Administration was in full force in the city of Mangaluru. Most roads were deserted and there was no vehicular movement what so ever in city. Police patrolling vehicles and few essential services vehicles were seen moving on the roads.
Shops supplying essentials goods seen open but buyers were very few in numbers. Otherwise crowded areas like Bunder, Hampankatata and State Bank Circle too were deserted. It was felt most people finished their purchasing well in advance in view of total lockdown announced by District Administration.
Festive spirit of Eid ul fitr hardly felt in the city in the absence of public prayers at Mosques.
