Hyderabad: Telugu film comedian Fish Venkat has passed away due to kidney problems. He was suffering from kidney disease, but he could not get proper treatment due to financial problems despite Pawan Kalyan's financial assistance.

Fish Venkat, who gained attention for playing villains in Telugu films, was 54 years old. He had been suffering from kidney-related disease for some time and breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the hospital. As both his kidneys were damaged, his family members had admitted him to a hospital in Boduppal for dialysis a few days ago.

The doctors had advised him to transplant both kidneys. He is not financially strong. Therefore, he has not been able to get medical services. The family members are in tears as Fish Venkat died just days after appealing for help from donors.

Pawan Kalyan had earlier helped the actor. Fish Venkat's real name is Mangalampalli Venkatesh. He became known as Fish Venkat by trading fish in the Musheerabad market. He lived in Musheerabad. He entered the film industry through actor Srihari. Director V.V. Vinayak introduced him as an actor.

Fish Venkat has entertained film lovers as a comedian and character artist in more than a hundred films. He has acted in many hit films like Aadi, Dil, Banni, Attarintiki Daredi, DJ Tillu and has earned good recognition. He has done two Tamil films. He has not done any film in Kannada.
