Hanagar, Dec 05: Hijab controversy has flared up again in the state. In the Government First Grade College of C.G.Bella in Akkialur, Haveri district, some female students came to the college wearing saffron shawls in protest of the burqas they wore, causing a controversy. Later, the principal of the college, Dr. Veeresh Kummura, convinced the students and they agreed to follow the college uniform. Thus, the controversy has come to a happy end.

On Thursday, at 12.30 pm, some female students came to the Government First Grade College in Akkialur, Hanagalla taluk, wearing burqas. Some students, angered by this, came wearing saffron shawls. This led to a discussion between male and female students in the college.
The principal gave a warning
The principal, Dr. Veeresh Kummoor, who came to know about the matter, called the burqa-wearing students and the saffron shawl-wearing students and gave them a warning. They should wear the college uniform in the college premises. Do not allow unnecessary confusion. They convinced them that violating the college's discipline is not right. Everyone agreed with their words and the dispute ended happily.
Hijab controversy in a Kerala school too
A similar incident had taken place in the same college a month ago. It is said that the principal and lecturers had explained it to the students even then. However, this incident recurred again on Thursday. In the meantime, the college principal and lecturers have decided to take action to ensure that such an incident does not recur in the future.
