Mangalore:- The IQAC of Milagres College organized a faculty development programme on February 6, 2021. The programme was conducted by Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK).

Rev Fr Michael Santhumayor, Principal of Milagres College welcomed the members of the CASK and the participants. In his message he spoke about the importance of faculty development programme and the role played by CASK in serving the society. Ms Nayana Fernandes, Ex-President of CASK briefed about the functioning and objectives of CASK.

This programme was dealt by resource persons like Mrs Patsy Lobo, Senior Coordinator, Teacher Foundation & Soft Skills Trainer, spoke on the topic “Collective Mindfulness”, Manoj Fernandes, faculty, Dept of Management, St. Aloysius College spoke on the topic “Challenges faced in teaching and understanding students”,  Bharathi Shevgoor on the topic “Impactful Communication and Leadership”,  Usha Rao, an Educationist, spoke on the topic “Role of Teachers in Suicide Prevention”, Dr Derek Lobo, Retd. Regional Adviser South-East Asia, UN-WHO on “National Educational Policy 2020”.

The focus of this programme was to enrich the faculty with the presenting teaching scenario and to help them with various possibilities to have a better journey with the teaching profession. Faculty development programme was benefitted by 20 participants of the Degree College.
