Mangalore:-As per the district health bulletin, a total of 9,14,127 samples have been tested so far, out of which 8,29,252 have turned out to be negative. The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 84,875, out of which 6,780 are currently active. As many as 651 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 77,107. The district recorded five deaths due to coronavirus on Tuesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 988.
Udupi:- As per the district health bulletin, as many as 2,71,437 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus. As many as 107 new cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 40,896, out of which 2,683 are currently active. A total of 306 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 38,040 for the second wave. The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 173 lives in the district, including one on Tuesday.
