On the occasion of Annular Solar Eclipse visible from different parts of the world, including some parts of North India on Sunday 21-06-2020, Partial Solar Eclipse will be visible from our place. This phenomenon will be visible from 10:04hrs to 13:21hrs in and around Mangalore with a maximum obscuration of 51.3%.
As arrangements for viewing the Eclipse in the open public cannot be done, Prof. Jayantha H (Ph.: 8277021241) of Amateur Astronomers’ Association, Mangalore, suggests that those who are interested may watch the Eclipse by only using the Solar Eclipse Goggles. Solar Eclipse Goggles can be collected in advance from Dr. Sangeethalaxmi (Ph.: 9448790070).
