Dharwad, Arpil, 12: Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank one of the leading Regional Rural Banks of the Country has introduced a new digital service for its customers in its service area of nine districts under which customers visiting branches to withdraw or deposit money will get faster service. The scheme was launched by bank P Gopikrishna, Chairman at the Bank's HO in Dharwad on Wednesday. The Bank has named this service as “Rapid Rokka”and a small hand-held machine has been devised and that works like a micro-ATM in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion Chairman of the Bank, P Gopi Krishna said that this new system will make the process of cash withdrawal and deposit very easy. Writing the slip, getting the token and waiting will not be there for customers in the Branches. Since it is a Aadhar enabled payment system, verification of customers signature, verification of slips and CBS related entries and writing of casher scroll will not be there for staff. Thus, no matter how much rush there may be , the customer gets cash in a moment he added.
P Gopi Krishna also said that this is a customer-friendly measure and the bank has adopted all kinds of digital technology in the context that has changed from time to time. He also said that due to the adoption of new technology, time will be saved and transparent service is being made possible.Above all, it is environment friendly as it completely bans the use of papers.
General Manager, IT, Punith M explained the features of the device. General Managers of the Bank, Chandrashekar D Moro, P Shreenivas Rao, Satheesha R and other executives were present on the occasion.
