KUNDAPUR: KSRTC bus drivers - operators' throat fluid tests - have confirmed that all three drivers have Covid infection on Monday.

The three-year-old bus driver of 58-year-old, 44-year-old and 44-year-old buses from Bagalkot have been positive. All three were drivers of buses traveling from Kundapur to outer districts.

Staff, bus drivers and operators of KSRTC depot in Kundapur on Thursday collected a sample of throat fluid and sent it for examination. The report came out, three of them positive.

A 44-year-old bus driver from Kundapur - Bangalore has been infected and has been admitted to Kundapur Covid Hospital. Among those infected was a 58-year-old Basroor resident who was on vacation on an age-dependent basis and did not attend duty after the lockdown. The 36-year-old man is a Kundapur-Shimoga bus driver who is currently on vacation and has moved to Bagalkot. He is currently being treated there.

But passengers need not worry because the driver's cabin is separate. It is learned that none of the passengers were in contact with him. The primary contact of the trio is quarantine.

On June 30, two drivers of private buses running from Kundapur to Bangalore received Covid positive.
